Applied Material Solar

US Graduate School?
I am undergraduate student in Shanghai, China. My research interest is about Solar Cells and photovoltaic. what i want to ask is: what major should I apply to the Graduate School in the US? Physics or Electronic Engineering or Material? As you know, applying for Electronic Engineering and Material is very competitive. My GPA is between 3.6 to 3.7,and I will take TOEFL this year and GRE next year. I hope you can answer the question. If the TOEFL and GRE score is vital for you to do the answer, you can assume several conditions about the scores. For example, you can assume these two scores are about 90 (for TOEFL IBT) and 1300 (for GRE GENERAL) or you can assume these are 80 and 1200. Of course, I wish you can further tell me what universities I can apply. Thank you for your time!
the question is not which you can apply. it's which will admit you. definitely apply to ALL top schools you are interested. and some "safety" choices.

Material Inhomogeneities in Elasticity $238.89 Self contained, this book presents a thorough introduction to the complementary notions of physical forces and material (or configurational) forces. All the required elements of continuum mechanics, deformation theory and differential geometry are also covered. This book will be a great help to many, whilst revealing to others a rather new facet of continuum mechanics in general, and elasticity in particular. An organized exposition of continuum mechanics on the material manifold is given which allows for the consideration of material inhomogeneities in their most appropriate framework. In such a frame the nonlinear elasticity of anisotropic inhomogenous materials appears to be a true field theory. Extensions to the cases of electroelasticity and magnetelasticity are then straightforward. In addition, this original approach provides systematic computational means for the evaluation of characteristic parameters which are useful in various branches of applied mechanics and mathematical physics. This is the case for pathindependent integrals and energyrelease rates in brittle fracture, the influence of electromagnetic fields on fracture criteria (such as in ceramics), the notion of momentum of electromagnetic fields in matter in optics, and the perturbation of solitons propagating in elastic dispersive systems. Nanoporous Gold as a Fuel Cell Material $109.93 Electrochemical dealloying has proven to be an efficient way of fabricating nanoporous gold, the morphology of which can be tailored by controlling factors such as the etching time, temperature of electrolyte, composition of the alloy, pre and /or post heat treatment and voltage to suit applications such as fuel cell electrodes and sensors. This work aims at studying the effect of such factors as the electrolyte concentration on the morphology of the emerging material. A model relating the processing parameters and pore size is established by statistical approaches using the Design Expert 7.1 software. An equation that captures the individual as well as interaction effects on nanoporous gold is proposed. The validity of the equation is verified by existing research results. Simulation of this material under applied external load was done to achieve static properties in comparison with bulk gold. The applications where this might be helpful have been mentioned. Material Fluidity by Carstoiu, Benjamin [Paperback] $97.19 This work is an exploration in how a building can sense and react to change in its environment. The research examines the substance of water, in particular, as an example in nature which continually redefines its physical makeup in response to external forces, while maintaining equilibrium throughout its internal makeup. In this work, the principles found within the movement of water are then applied to a buildings form. The study focuses on a buildings reactions to its environment and its ability to sense change, absorb impact and redistribute energy or forces applied to it. Initial studies culminate into a building project that borrows from the boundless energy found within tidal fluctuations at the site chosen for study. The buildings movement is always choreographed to maintain balance and equilibrium by returning to stillness at the end of each tidal cycle. By forming a direct connection to the events and cycles of nature around it, this study is meant to explore a type of building that helps people reconnect with nature, and to become more involved in the changes that take place in the environment.
