Solar Australian Government

Australian Government, means testing the solar panel rebate - I think it is ridiculous, tell me your thoughts?
I was hoping that Rudd would take the environment seriously, he has just wiped out any chance for solar powered homes to take off. People on $100,000 and over are the only ones in the position to even consider adding solar power to their homes, these people purchasing the systems would eventually help to reduce the cost of solar and help these new companies get a foot hold.
Other countries are moving forward in this area, we seem to be one step forward, two backward.
The Government definately has a nasty love affair with coal power stations, I am extremely dissapointed in them and if they don't put the rebate back on I will not be voting for them next time.
Spot on Linda, the orders for solar has officially dropped by 70%. With the rebate its still to expensive for those under 100 000. Reckon he will change his position on this sooner rather than latter.

Excise Taxation in the Australian Federation $173.65 This monograph considers excise in the Australian Constitution, in the broader context of discussion of a federal structure, efficient taxation systems, and comparisons with the financial arrangements of other federal systems. The Australian Constitution forbids regional governments from levying excises, yet in more than 100 years a clear picture of the meaning of the section and its intended purpose is yet to emerge. This monograph considers the rationale and purpose of federal structures, and the extent to which they explain the Australian federal system. It discusses all major cases on s90 of the Constitution. In Chapters 5 and 6, economic aspects of taxation in Australias federal system are considered, including literature that might support both a narrow and broad view of the section. Chapter 7 takes a comparative approach, with particular emphasis on the German federal system. In Chapter 8, financial grants provided by the federal government to regional governments are considered from a legal and economic perspective. I conclude that a broad view should be given to excise for economic reasons. Community Languages: The Australian Experience $76.47 Without even considering the 150 Aboriginal languages still spoken, Australia has an unparalleled mix of languages other than English in common usage, languages often described by the term community. Drawing on census data and other statistics, this book addresses the current suitation of community languages in Australia, analysing which are spoken, by whom, and whereabouts. It focuses on three main issues: how languages other than English are maintained in an English speaking environment, how the structure of the languages themselves changes over time, and how the government has responded to such ethnolinguistic diversity. At a time of unprecedented awareness of these languages within society and a realisation of the importance of mutlilingualism in business, this book makes a significant contribution to understanding the role of community languages in shaping the future of Australian society. Western Australian Legislative Assembly Elections $58.94 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles This article provides a summary of results for elections to the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, the lower house in Western Australias bicameral state legislative body, the Parliament of Western Australia, which came into being in 1890 when Western Australia achieved responsible self government. The number of seats has increased over time, from 30 at its first election, to the current total of 57 seats. Western Australian politics were initially nonpartisan, with individual Members of Parliament choosing to align either with the Government or the Opposition. This began to change in the 1901 election with the election of six Labor members, and then with Labor attaining outright victory in the 1904 election. By 1911, a rival party to Labor had emerged in the centreright Liberal Party of Western Australia, which many of the former independents had joined. This entity evolved into the Nationalist Party and eventually into the Liberal Party in 1944.
