Do liquid solar blankets REALLY work?

We have an 18x33 above ground pool & because of the size, getting a solar cover off and on (even with a reel) is kind of a pain... while shopping for a new cover (dog got ahold of ours over the winter, grrrrr) I came accross "liquid solar blankets". Curious as to if anyone has used them & if they really work as advertised...

We used to have a pool and used the old solar blanket. I recently went swimming and someone said they used teh liquid solar blanket - I was surprised at how well it worked! I personally wouldn't go back to the old kind of blanket - too much of a hassle.
