Is there gonna be a solar flare in 2012 that kills us all?

First I heard the world was gonna end because it said that in the end of that one Maryan or whatever Calendar. I don't believe that but for some reason I believe the solar flare one. I saw that on that one IHC commercial. What's really going on?
No I'm not talking about the knowing lol I have watched that movie b4 though. I just seen the IHC commercial like 30 mins ago.

Solar flares a not a threat to life on Earth. The next solar maximum in 2013 is expected to be less intense than the previous one in 2001. In 2003, the most energetic solar flare ever recorded took place. Remember how we were all wiped out by that one? Maybe not.
The Institute for Human Continuity website has been set up by Sony Pictures to advertise the film '2012'. In reality, there is no such thing as the IHC. Putting people in fear of their lives is apparently OK if you're a movie publicist. Rest assured that the whole 2012 thing is a bunch of baloney, without a single scrap of scientific evidence to back it up.
