what difference would using two batteries make on my flashlight instead of using just one?

I have a Flashlight that came with one CR123 (16340) 3.7V (880 mAh) battery. It also came with a part that extends the length of the flashlight, so im guessing, that by using that extension part i would have to use two batteries.
If you wondering what flashlight it is..., its a solar force L2m.
so what would happen if i use two of these 3.7V batteries instead of just one. Is it risky? could i kill the LED by doing so? if not, would i get brighter light or would the batteries just last longer?

The extra part is most likely cosmetic. Some people prefer long flashlights, others prefer short.
Of course, you can probably use it as storage for an extra battery.

Even if there is wiring, most likely it will be using the second battery in parallel. This will just provide extended battery life.
