Video card replacement ?

Further to my earlier question.
I have a `Dell Inspiron 560` with Windows7, 64 bit.
I bought an add-on called Sins of a Solar Empire-Diplomacy and it doesn`t work.
After asking `Impulse` about this they replied, Min. requirements.
128 MB Video Card (GeForce 6600/Radeon 9600)
I have Intel(R) G45/G43 Chip set.

As I recall, Sins of a Solar Empire is a strategy game like Warcraft III and Age of Empires, albeit a much newer one. So you won't need a high-end card like the Radeon 5770 (which is designed to maintain high framerates in demanding first-person shooters)

Dell's Inspiron desktops ship standard with a 305W power supply. That's important because most midrange and higher gaming cards require at least 400W. So you wouldn't be able to run a 9800GT or Radeon 4770 anyway, unless you upgraded the power supply in addition to getting a new video card.

Fortunately, there is hope. The Radeon 5670 and GeForce GT240 are both good performers which require little power- they run happily on stock 300W power supplies. Either of those would be handle this game and even titles like Call of Duty, nicely.

Slightly cheaper options include the Radeon 4670 and GeForce GT220, which would still be ok, but are notably slower than the cards linked above.
