Solar Mapping

Is there a grid map to the solar system?
I mean a map or graph of static co-ordinates that the planets travel through when they orbit the sun. For instance , i'm not in the same place in the solar system as i finish this question as i was when i started it. Is there a system or map that show's these points. Not for me necessarily( i'm too small), but maybe for a nation or a point/location on the planet.
There mightn't be anything free that does what you want it to do. However, there's a free download of a solar simulation for quick and dirties you might find helpful or useful somehow.
StarCalc 5.73 is another free download that doesn't quite satisfy what you're asking for, but you might yet find helpful.

Network Mapping $66.91 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Network mapping or Internet mapping is the study of the physical connectivity of the Internet. Network mapping determines the servers and the operating systems run on them of internetconnected networks. It is not to be confused with the remote discovery of which characteristics a computer may possess (operating system, open ports, listening network services, etc), an activity which is called network enumerating and is more akin to penetration testing. Gene Mapping $76.47 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Genome mapping is the creation of a genetic map assigning DNA fragments to chromosomes. When a genome is first investigated, this map is nonexistent. The map improves with the scientific progress and is perfect when the genomic DNA sequencing of the species has been completed. During this process, and for the investigation of differences in strain, the fragments are identified by small tags. These may be genetic markers (PCR products) or the unique sequencedependent pattern of DNAcutting enzymes. The ordering is derived from genetic observations (recombinant frequency) for these markers or in the second case from a computational integration of the fingerprinting data. The term mapping is used in two different but related contexts. Two different ways of mapping are distinguished. Genetic mapping uses classical genetic techniques (e.g. pedigree analysis or breeding experiments) to determine sequence features within a genome. Using modern molecular biology techniques for the same purpose is usually referred to as physical mapping. Sphere Mapping $101.96 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. In computer graphics, sphere mapping (or spherical environment mapping) is a type of reflection mapping that approximates reflective surfaces by considering the environment to be an infinitely faraway spherical wall. This environment is stored as a texture depicting what a mirrored sphere would look like if it were placed into the environment, using an orthographic projection (as opposed to one with perspective). This texture contains reflective data for the entire environment, except for the spot directly behind the sphere. (For one example of such an object, see Eschers drawing Hand with Reflecting Sphere.) Contraction Mapping $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A contraction mapping has at most one fixed point. Moreover, the Banach fixed point theorem states that every contraction mapping on a nonempty complete metric space has a unique fixed point, and that for any x in M the iterated function sequence x, f (x), f (f (x)), f (f (f (x))), ... converges to the fixed point. This concept is very useful for iterated function systems where contraction mappings are often used. Banachs fixed point theorem is also applied in proving the existence of solutions of ordinary differential equations, and is used in one proof of the inverse function theorem. Texture Mapping $66.91 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Texture mapping is a method for adding detail, surface texture (a bitmap or raster image), or color to a computergenerated graphic or 3D model. Its application to 3D graphics was pioneered by Dr Edwin Catmull in his Ph.D. thesis of 1974. A texture map is applied (mapped) to the surface of a shape or polygon. This process is akin to applying patterned paper to a plain white box. Multitexturing is the use of more than one texture at a time on a polygon. For instance, a light map texture may be used to light a surface as an alternative to recalculating that lighting every time the surface is rendered. Another multitexture technique is bump mapping, which allows a texture to directly control the facing direction of a surface for the purposes of its lighting calculations; it can give a very good appearance of a complex surface, such as tree bark or rough concrete, that takes on lighting detail in addition to the usual detailed coloring. Crime Mapping $62.13 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Crime mapping is used by analysts in law enforcement agencies to map, visualize, and analyze crime incident patterns. It is a key component of crime analysis and the CompStat policing strategy. Mapping crime, using Geographic Information Systems, allows crime analysts to identify crime hot spots, along with other trends and patterns. Using GIS, crime analysts can overlay other datasets such as census demographics, locations of pawn shops, schools, etc., to better understand the underlying causes of crime and help law enforcement administrators to devise strategies to deal with the problem. GIS is also useful for law enforcement operations, such as allocating police officers and dispatching to emergencies. Underlying theories that help explain spatial behavior of criminals include environmental criminology, which was devised in the 1980s by Patricia and Paul Brantingham, routine activity theory, developed by Lawrence Cohen and Marcus Felson and originally published in 1979, and rational choice theory, developed by Ronald V. Clarke and Derek Cornish, originally published in 1986. UV Mapping $54.86 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles UV mapping is a 3D modeling process of making a 2D image representing a 3D model. The map transforms the 3D object onto an image known as a texture map. In contrast to X, Y and Z, which are the coordinates for the original 3D object in the modeling space, U and V are the coordinates of the transformed object. This creates the effect of painting the image onto the surface of the 3D object. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Racial Mapping $81.25 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Racial Mapping is the use of cartography to identify and situate distinct racial groups . By using maps to highlight, perpetuate, and naturalize the differences of race through both literal and metaphorical means, mapmakers create a common knowledge by displaying specific data as representative the real world, and construct racial identity by framing, situating, and defining what race is. As a result, there is a long tradition of cartography being used as a tool to support social Darwinism, physical anthropology, and evolution theories, which seek to promote specific people as superior to others. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 118 Publication Date: 2010/07/30 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.28 inches |

Residuated Mapping $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In mathematics, the concept of a residuated mapping arises in the theory of partially ordered sets. It refines the concept of a monotone function. The notion of residuated map can be generalized to a binary operator (or any higher arity) via componentwise residuation. This approach gives rise to notions of left and right division in a partially ordered magma, additionally endowing it with a quasigroup structure. (One speaks only of residuated algebra for higher arities). A binary (or higher arity) residuated map is usually not residuated as a unary map.
