Solar Market Size

Reg: Circuit to charge the capacitor from solar cell?
hi every1, can any1 of you suggest me a circuit for charging the capacitor(3.3 V) from a solar cell(of minimum available size in the market)
It doesn't matter how many micro-farads the capacitor has, apparently the time it takes to charge the cap is not so important to you....
The "circuit" is like that:
Connect the "plus" of the solar panel; to the anode of a universal diode, like 1N4001
Connect the Cathode of that diode to the "plus" of the capacitor.
Connect the "minus" of the solar panel to the "minus" of the capacitor.
Finished.
Since the diode will "steal" about 0.7 volt, your solar cell should be a 4.5 Volt type.

The European Solar Energy Market $114.71 Solar energy holds the highest potential among renewable energy sources and is thus a vital driver for a future shift in the primary energy mix. So far little research has been done which takes into account a truly interdisciplinary approach. The paper outlines the political and legal framework for the European solar energy market and analyses the implications for the linkage between environmental and social sustainability and profitability. Market analyses show the effect of certain policies, room for improvement as well as chances and risks from the exporters point of view. They identify administrative hurdles which should be eliminated and show as well that feedin tariffs are much more effective than direct investment subsidies. The argument for taking into account external costs is derived from life cycle analyses showing the high degree of sustainability as well as profitability for the society as a whole. Exporters will find a very promising and dynamic and therefore volatile market in some European as well as overseas countries. Market $124.27 A market is any one of a variety of different systems, institutions, procedures, social relations and infrastructures whereby persons trade, and goods and services are exchanged, forming part of the economy. It is an arrangement that allows buyers and sellers to exchange things. Markets vary in size, range, geographic scale, location, types and variety of human communities, as well as the types of goods and services traded. Some examples include local farmers markets held in town squares or parking lots, shopping centers and shopping malls, international currency and commodity markets, legally created markets such as for pollution permits, and illegal markets such as the market for illicit drugs. In mainstream economics, the concept of a market is any structure that allows buyers and sellers to exchange any type of goods, services and information. The exchange of goods or services for money is a transaction. Market participants consist of all the buyers and sellers of a good who influence its price. This influence is a major study of economics and has given rise to several theories and models concerning the basic market forces of supply and demand. Solar Tres Power Tower $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Solar Tres is a planned 15 MW power plant based on solar thermal energy. It is located west of the city of cija, in Andalusia, Spain. Solar Tres is based on the solar power tower concepts pioneered in the U.S.s Solar One and Solar Two demonstration projects. Solar Tres uses a molten salt as its working fluid, allowing it to be stored in the molten state for power generation at any time. The project, which has received a subsidy of five million Euro from the European Commission, makes use of the Solar Two technology tested in Barstow, California, but will be approximately three times the size. Solar Tres will make use of several advances in technology since Solar Two was designed and built. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Solar Power in Germany $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Germany is the worlds top photovoltaics (PV) installer, accounting for almost half of the global solar power market in 2007. The country has a feedin tariff for renewable electricity, which requires utilities to pay customers a guaranteed rate for any solar power they feed into the grid. Germans installed about 1,300 megawatts of new PV capacity in 2007, up from 850 megawatts in 2006, for a cumulative total exceeding 3,830 megawatts. Germany added a further 2 GW in 2008 and 2.5 GW in 2009 taking the total to 8.3 GW by end of 2009. As capacity has risen, installed PV system costs have been cut in half between 1997 and 2007. Solar power now meets about 1 percent of Germanys electricity demand, a share that some market analysts expect could reach 25 percent by 2050. Practical Solar, Inc. $58.94 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Practical Solar, Inc. is an American manufacturer of heliostats used for concentrating solar power, as well as for residential and commercial natural lighting (daylighting) applications. The company, located in Boston, Massachusetts, introduced its heliostat system for sale in February 2009. Practical Solars heliostats are small in the spectrum of heliostats commercially available for harnessing solar thermal energy. They each have 8 square feet (0.74 meters) of reflector area. To put this in perspective, the heliostats in a solar power tower project in Seville, Spain each have reflectors nearly 1,300 square feet in size (120 square meters). Practical Solars heliostat system is the first computercontrolled heliostat system that can be installed by hand, using only hand tools. Practical Solars founder Bruce Rohr suggested in Northeast Sun magazine that small heliostats are more reliable and more costeffective per square meter of reflective area than the larger heliostats typically used in solar power tower projects. Implementation of Solar Thermal Technology $95.08 Implementation of Solar Thermal Technology describes thesuccesses andfailures of the commercialization efforts of the U.S.solar thermal energy program, from the oil embargo of 1973 throughthe demise of the program in the early Reaganadministration andits afterlife since then. The emphasis throughout is onlessonslearned from the solar experience, with an eye toward applicationsto otherprojects as well as toward possible renewal of efforts atcommercialization.Part Idiscusses the history of government involvement in solardevelopment and the paralleldevelopment of the market for solarproducts. Part II looks at the histories ofspecific commercializationprograms for five areas (active heating and cooling, passivetechnologies, passive commercial building activities, industrialprocess heat, and hightemperature technologies). Parts IIIVIIIfocus in turn on demonstration andconstruction projects, qualityassurance, information dissemination programs, effortsto transfertechnology to industry, incentive programs (tax credits, financing, andgrants), and organizational support.Solar Heat Technologies: Fundamentals andApplications, Volume 10 Author: Larson, Ronald/ Larson, Ronal/ West, Ronald E.
