!!!!!HELP!!!!!would solar power chargers work well in Ireland?

hi ,im tinking of buying a power monkey explorer solar charger
nd i'm just wondering would it work good in Ireland

I am planning in the future to have solar power but i live in Scotland and don't have a lot of sun which i am sure it will be the same in Ireland so along with the solar i will have a wind turbine not the huge ones the ones used for houses etc.

Also think about heating, why not change to a burner which uses bark and branches etc to heat the whole house. My friend owns a company which uses wood chippings and puts it in a burner, the smoke given off is not toxic because it only uses wood and wood only gives off what is made up off and uses. This burner is outside the house.
