how can i store heat that has been produced by a Solar Space heater ?

i want to store the heat so that it can be used in the evening when things cool down so i need something that will heat up and hold the heat in the day and then let me pump the stored air into my house. thanks

I'm using both a Solar Air Heater and a solar water heater to heat my house. The solar air heater works great on a sunny day, but other than the general stuff in my house, I don't really have any thermal mass storing that heat. So it basically keeps my electric heater from working so hard during the day, and doesn't contribute at night. Some people have tried blowing the hot air into a rock bin to store the heat, but that does not work well and can end up blowing moldy air through the house. Bad idea. Just make hay when the sun shines, as they say, and be happy about it.

But my solar water heater! It stores up all of that heat in my 120 gallon storage tank during the day. Then throughout the day and night, that hot water is circulated through a fan coil heater on the wall in my living room. A fan blows across it, and voila, hot air! If I had radiant floors, I could use that hot water in my floor heating. If I had forced hot air, I could put a water to air heat exchanger in my duct work and blow the heat throughout the house.
