Solar Tower $70.1 A solar tower is a structure used to support equipment for studying the sun, and is typically part of solar telescope designs. Solar towers are used to raise the observation equipment above the atmospheric disturbances caused by solar heating of the ground and the radiation of the heat into the atmosphere. A Survey of Passive Solar Buildings $35.09 This publication of passive solar projects built in the United States has been prepared to document the state of the art in passive solar design. Passive solar heating and cooling can provide a major percentage of the buildings energy requirement, while at the same time representing a heightened level of involvement for the architect in the design stages of the building.
