It beats other systems currently PV, and it can also beat the cost of electricity from fossil fuels like natural gas. In terms of low cost and high negative impact on the environment, nothing can compete with coal.
But the major industry players such as solar thermal eSolar, BrightSource, or Abengoa, has already beaten the price of natural gas and solar, and they intend to beat the price of coal in the near future.
With a planet increasingly industrialized, the leaders of solar thermal technology are growing market. The question is, and always will be, how solar thermal technology more economical. There are currently two methods of collecting solar thermal. The first is the collection focal line.
The second collection center point. Focus Line is less expensive, less technically difficult, but not as effective as the focal point. This land, probably originally chosen because of its exposure to the sun, just waiting to be used for the production of solar thermal energy. BrightSource, Abengoa, Acciona, Ausra and Schott Solar, the world has a new alternative. The benefits of eliminating coal from our energy supply are numerous. By not burning fossil fuels, countries can be truly energy independent.
