First Solar installs solar power for private land
Building First Solar first solar utility scale California, CA 21-megawatt facility Blythe, had been completed last December.
EMG is in charge of the production company electricity and other unregulated subsidiaries of Edison International. Edison International is the parent company of Southern California Edison.
Located in California and the Southwest United States, proposed acquisitions are 20 megawatts to 150 megawatts.
Senior Vice President of Business Development for Solar North America, said the acquisition projects EMG mean business leadership in the utilities market in the United States.
Headquartered in Irvine, California, EMG operations which include owners or lessees of interests in 44 plants producing electricity, which have a combined capacity of 11,413 megawatts. EMG has 10,214 megawatts of that capacity electric.
Among the active EMG power generation are fossil fuel power plants in California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia, and Turkey, a downtown New York of the biomass. And wind energy projects in Iowa, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wyoming EMG subsidiaries include Edison Mission Energy (EME), an independent power producer engaged in the business of owning, leasing, operating and selling energy and capacity of production facilities electricity; Midwest Generation (MWG), which operates six production plants electricity in Illinois and supervises operation Plant EME Homer City Generation in Homer City, Pennsylvania, and Edison Mission Operation & Maintenance, Inc. (MIT), which operates eight gas plants natural in partnership with other companies in California and a coal waste in West Virginia. Air data system also operates wind farms in Iowa, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
First Solar has provided technical services to solar energy projects Edison International since 2008. Edison, on the other hand, was in charge of licensing and acquisition of First Solar.
It was also in December First Solar which built and delivered more than 1 gigawatt of solar modules in 2009, thereby achieving the distinction of being the first company to reach their PV volume mass production in one year. First Solar initially only produces 75 megawatts per year.
recent achievement of the company is production of solar modules to $ 0.98 per watt, breaking the price range of $ 1 per watt of solar energy industry. First Solar aims to reduce increased costs through advanced technology and manufacturing processes.

Mountaineer Wind Energy Center-Thomas, West Virginia
Rep. Nick Rahall Why does the West Virginia really want to have more regulation on wind energy.?
Is because it is a state which burns coal as a primary energy source.
To ask is to answer it. The cost Wind Energy is about the same as power from coal and wind power does not waste a coal plant produces. Coal is contaminated with radioactive uranium and thorium. Uranium and thorium go up the chimney with fly ash and pollute the country side. In addition, the amount of uranium and thorium enriched ash left in the oven. In fact, the level of Uranium is so high that the ash from coal has been considered a source of extracting uranium for use in nuclear power plants! The ash from coal is stored in the open air. The wind blows the ash and contaminated Area campaign. When it rains, radioactive uranium and thorium leaching from the pile of ashes and run into the rivers, lakes, streams and to contaminate groundwater with radioactive uranium and thorium. The uranium in the ash breaks down and produces radioactive radon is realesed in the atmosphere. Windpower threatens to replace coal as an energy source because it is cheap and the energy of combustion of coal and does not produce any hazardous waste that coal plants produce. This threatens the power base Nick Rahall, who is based on coal production.
